The St. Dunstan's Plainsong Psalter is the culmination of three full years of research, compilation, and proofreading. It is the first traditional English plainchant publication to be in print for many decades.5/5(7). The historical context at the end is perfect for clarifying what is fact and what is fiction.

Dunstan is a little known historic personage who undoubtedly was very significant in his time. The book introduces him to the masses of the 22nd century and is a welcome addition to Conns earlier novels/5().

It seems to be my week for reading books about unlikeable characters. "Dunstan" by Conn Iggulden is a stand alone novel in the autobiographical novel category. The Dunstan in question is Saint Dunstan, builder of both Glastonbury Abbey and Canterbury Cathedral and spiritual advisor to several early English/Wessex kings/5.

The Early Lives of St Dunstan contains new editions, with translation and extensive commentary, of the two earliest Lives of St Dunstan, archbishop of Canterbury () and one St. Dunstan book the principal figures of the tenth-century English church/5. The thousandth anniversary of the death of St Dunstan, inwas marked in Canterbury by an exhibition and a conference, each devoted to his life and times and his subsequent cult.

Papers that were delivered at the conference form the basis of this book, and are supplemented by four further papers on aspects of Dunstan's life and cult.
